Florence Nightingale award for 4 state nurses

For the first time,four nurses from the state have been selected for the Florence Nightingale award to recognise the superlative work they have done at primary health centres and sub-centres.

For the first time,four nurses from the state have been selected for the Florence Nightingale award to recognise the superlative work they have done at primary health centres and sub-centres. The award,which carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a certificate,will be given on May 12 (World Nursing Day) at a function in New Delhi. Shobha Yohana from Hinganghat sub district hospital in Wardha district,Shakila Shaikh,nurse and health worker at sub-centre Bhenda in Ahmednagar district,Vandana Uike,auxiliary nursing midwife at Bedona sub-centre in Wardha district,and Draupadi Salve,health worker at the ZP hospital in Parbhani,will be felicitated by the President,said a statement issued here.
