D S Kulkarni,CMD,DSK Group celebrated his 60th birthday by planting several saplings in university and Chatushrungi hillock. The ex-students union of Garware College participated in this novel task in large numbers.
Earlier, bhoomipujan of DSK Hariyali,a luxurious project located at University Road was performed by G B Songaonkar,Zonal Manager,Central bank of India.
D S Kulkarni aka DSK as he is fondly called is among very few Marathi business men who have carved a niche for themselves not only in India but abroad also, stated a press release. “It needs many guts to think and do out of the box that too when one is sailing against the tide. Instead of choosing a simple path of getting a bank job and settling for a middle class life he chose to struggle and raise a empire of DSK Group worth crores. A journey of a man selling salted chanas, delivering newspapers, doing odd jobs of plumbing, interiors and waterproofing to selling high-end bungalows in New Jersey is nothing less than a real life fairy tale.”
DSK recently contested the Lok Sabha elections without success. His decision had suprised many. The habit of dreaming is still intact with DSK at the age of 60. Now,he dreams to build a tallest building in Manhattan in Newyork. His devotion to Veer Savarkar, his parents and Saptashrungi Mata has always kept this rooted to his basics.
