Actor Pushkar Jog feels that the Marathi version of Nach Baliye was a good platform for him to improve his own dancing skills
He comes from a family of academicians,and while most people assumed he would follow the well-trod path that his family members chose,he decided to seek out a road less traveled and venture into the field of acting in films. And now after proving his acting skills in front of diverse audiences,actor Pushkar Jog is representing the city in the Marathi version of the hit dancing show Nach Baliye to demonstrate his dancing prowess.
Speaking about the show Jog says,It feels amazing to be a part of one of the most sought after dance reality shows on the television. My co-contestants were trained classical dancers and it was difficult to compete with them. But the fact that I have made it to final three even after not being a trained dancer feels great.
Jogs dancing partner,Nishita Gaikwad,is also from Pune and is a Salsa dancer. Their dance choreographers are Sunny,Reshma,and Rahul.
The show,which began on October 24,is now approaching its finale. Jog along with Gaikwad are among the top three finalists. The other two being Kranti Redekar and Nakul Genekar representing Mumbai & Rujuta Deshmukh and Kunal Phadke representing Aurangabad. Jog feels that the film industry will get a good dancer cum actor after the show. I have been a huge fan of Govinda and Mithun Chakraborty. Inspired by them,i took up dancing, he says.
I have improved my dancing skills a lot because of this show. Now that I have made it to the top three I will not only win but also eat it up, says Jog confidently.
Jog who has many movies like Tukya Tukvila Nagya Nachvila,Vazvu Ka?,Raosaheb Sakharpuda,Soon Ladki Sasarchi,to his credit says that Dont worry Be Happy,Dhoom 2 Dhamal,Mission Possible Ladak are his upcoming films. He also mentions the fact that the show will help him establish his credibly as a versatile all round actor.
