Crime brief: Two rob women in her Bhosari flat

Disha Maulik Herma,22,was robbed of ornaments,laptop and other items worth Rs 51,000 on Friday afternoon around 3pm by two unidentified men. The two men posed as census officer and knocked at her door in Jai Ganesh Samrajya society in Bhosari when she was alone. The two men later pushed her inside and tied her hands and legs with tape. Herma lodged a complaint with the Bhosari police. Inspector C D Bhosale said there was a security guard at the society,but he had gone to bathroom when the incident took place. Bhosale also said there was no CCTV camera installed at the building. Investigation is on based on the description the 22-year-old gave.

Youth assaults elderly woman

Hadapsar police arrested Pavankumar Prasad Rao,24,for allegedly attacking Girish Ashok Bansode (28) and his 45-year-old mother with a sharp weapon at their residence,following some past dispute,on Friday afternoon. Police arrested Rao on charges of attempt to murder. Bansode lodged a police complaint in this case. “Around 3.30 pm Rao attacked Bansode with a sharp weapon. He further attacked Bansode’s mother Dwarka when she tried to save her son. The woman has suffered head injuries,” said API S S Chavan.
