Couple die in highway mishap,two injured

The accident took place near Indapur about 120 km from Pune city around 5.30 pm.

Vishal Shrikant Polkhamwar,35,and his wife Meghanah,30,were killed while their three-year-old daughter suffered serious injuries after the car they were travelling in rammed a tractor from behind on the Pune-Solapur highway on Thursday.

The accident took place near Indapur about 120 km from Pune city around 5.30 pm. The couple lived in Bopodi,Pune.

Their daughter Aysha and Vishals mother Ratnamala,57,suffered serious injuries. Police said,The family was on their way back from a pilgrimage in Andhra Pradesh. The family was traveling in two different cars. Vishals father was in the other car. He has registered a case with the Indapur police. The injured are being treated at a private hospital near Indapur.
