Constable kills self

A constable with the Pune police traffic control,Manojkumar Shrikrishna Pathrud reportedly hanged himself at his residence.

A constable with the Pune police traffic control,Manojkumar Shrikrishna Pathrud (35),reportedly hanged himself at his residence. A resident of Tadiwala road,he was attached to Bundgarden division of traffic control.The Bundgarden police took his body to Sassoon General Hospital where he was pronounced dead by doctors. Police said Pathrud joined the force in 2002 and has five children. Police said he had some family related problems. An investigation is under way to confirm the cause of death.

Girl consumes poison after boyfriend commits suicide

A 19-year-old girl allegedly attempted suicide by consuming poison after finding out that her boyfriend had hanged himself at his Dehu Road residence. Police said the body of 26-year-old Vinod Pujari was found Tuesday morning. The girl then allegedly consumed a poisonous liquid at her house Wednesday morning.

A film appreciation festival for students was recently organised by Reliance AIMS,an animation and media infotainment school. The festival included a seminar on “Understanding the Art of Animation Production”,and a free screening of movie – White House Down,stated a release. Vaibhav Kumaresh,founder-director,Vaibhav Studios and Dr Ashish Kulkarni,CEO,Reliance Animation were among those who attended the festival.

CREDAI’s Kushal project bags award

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India’s (CREDAI) project ‘Kushal’ recently won the eINDIA Public Choice Award for 2013 for its unique on-the-job skill training program at the Indian Education Summit held at Hyderabad. The project was honoured under the ‘ICT Initiative in Education Category’. CREDAI national president C.Shekar Reddy and chairman Kushal,JP Shroff,accepted the award,stated a press release. The Kushal team has till now trained and certified about 8,000 construction workers and has a target of training 20,000 within the next two years.
