The students of TASMAC School of Business experienced weeklong thrill and adventure during the,trimestral,college fest Blitzkrieg. The event comprised of management,sports and cultural activities. The event was opened up with Mad Ads and posters. The college was divided into 4 groups that is,Gladiators,Crusaders,Bravehearts and Knights. The teams competed with each other in various events such as pictionary,kabaddi,table-tennis,quiz,arm wrestling and so on. On the final day students walked the ramp for fashion show and danced to the tune of peppy bollywood numbers. Knights turned out to be the stars of the evening and lifted the final trophy.
The first all India alumni meet of all four institute of Sri Balaji Society Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM),Balaji Institute of International Business (BIIB),Balaji Institute of Telecom Management (BITM) and Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resource Development (BIMHRD) was held recently. Apart from severely debating the turbulent economic scenario,they also had a cultural evening that was enjoyed by one and all. The two-day event witnessed a huge gathering of around 5000 students including their families. While the open house session was a serious affair,the cultural programme was a treat for all. However,a rocking performance by rock band Agnee stole the show.
Projecting the best
Modern Colleges department of electronic science team of Piyush Manvar and Harshada Pawar won the first prize at the state level M.Sc Project competition for their project of an automatic weather station. The competition was also hosted by the same college. The second prize was bagged by Fergusson College team of Seema Patil and Sachin Bhangale for their project virtual touch screen,while the third prize was given away to Poona college team of Hamid Reza Estemdadi for the project on-off control speed of AC motor by telephone line. A special prize for Agrielectronics was awarded jointly to modern college for the automatic weather station and Fergusson College for green house automation. Eight consolation prizes were also awarded 3 each for Fergusson College and Department of Instrumentation Science,Pune University,one each for Electronic Science Department of Pune University and modern college. K S Chari,Chairman of IEEE,Solid State Circuits Society (India Council Chapter) gave away the prizes. The competition was organised in collaboration by IEEE,Solid State Circuits Society and board of students welfare,University of Pune. A total of 86 students participated in the competition.
