The cadets of Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies once again proved their excellence in the field of arts and creativity at CreaZi,the inter-college mega event conducted by Indira School Of Communication Pune from February 13 to 15.

Smooth sailing for Samundra at CreaZi
The cadets of Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS) once again proved their excellence in the field of arts and creativity at CreaZi,the inter-college mega event conducted by Indira School Of Communication Pune from February 13 to 15. The event was inaugurated by Bharat Dabolkar and had about 25 colleges from Mumbai and Pune participating. The programme included 19 events like the tough roadie show ,fine arts and group performances. SIMS,Lonavla swept away 6 first prizes ,6 second prizes and 3 third prize. To top it all SIMS Lonavala scored the highest points and achieved the overall college trophy The Champion of Champions and a cash prize of 20,000 Rupees for the same. Altogether the cadets receive Rs 34,000 cash in various events other than the trophy and certificates. In addition to this a scholarship was given to Cdt Parth,Cdt Gaurav & Cdt Dhruv by Live Wire (Carrier Institute in broadcasting N’Films) for winning the weakest link Competition. The scholar ship invites the winners to attend the different courses like Radio jockeying ,News reading and anchoring,film making ,direction ,acting,cinematography,screen writing ,editing & sound engineering with in the time frame set by the Institute. The Champions trophy was received by Principal of SIMS Prof DVB Swamy.
