The College of Engineering Pune (CoEP) has been awarded the ‘Best Industry Institute Interaction Award 2013’ in mechanical engineering,as per the results of a survey conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The award was presented in the presence of Union Minister Kapil Sibal at a function recently held in New Delhi.
The survey was conducted to showcase the best practices of industry partnerships across AICTE-approved engineering institutes in basic streams like chemical,civil,computer and IT,electrical,electronics and communication and mechanical engineering. The shortlisted institutes were visited by a team comprising AICTE and CII representatives,and their feedback was analysed to decide the winners,a release said.
“Geared up by the latest honour,CoEP continues to endeavour to bring excellence in all facets of institute functioning and create a benchmark of excellence in the field of engineering,” said college director Anil Sahasrabudhe.
