Day before FIR against Dipke, Minister Bhuse ‘welcomed CJP school checks’

Bhuse had also said, “(Previously) I had myself visited a few Kannada medium schools. There were some deficiencies that came to notice there. We accept it. What is the reason to say no? Some realities have to be accepted. It is our responsibility to make improvements, which we are doing. Now some schools are such where great work has been done and they run 365 days a year.”

Dipke and other unidentified persons were booked by the Latur police on August 22 for allegedly entering an Urdu Zilla Parishad School on August 20 without permission and filming and questioning teachers in front of students.

The FIR invokes BNS sections 132 (Assault or use of criminal force against a public servant to deter him from performing his duty), 329(3) (criminal trespass), 351(2) (criminal intimidation), 356(2) (defamation) and 3(5) (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).

The FIR said, “They also entered the school without authorization, recorded the incident and made it viral in the media. Although the children were students of the same school, they alleged that students of another school had been made to sit there, thereby defaming the school.”

Dipke launched the School Thik Karo campaign after Independence Day and urged people to carry out audits in schools with the aim of improving infrastructure facilities.
