Fire brigade fished out the body of 17-year-old Ninad Avinash Pandit from the well near Maharashtra Mandal on the Tilak Road around 12 pm on Monday. An aspiring wrestler,Pandit was known to be a good swimmer. He lived in Malwadi in Hadapsar and used to exercise at Nagarkar Talim on Laxmi Road. He removed his clothes and entered the well around 6.45 pm on Monday. When he didn’t come out for long time,someone on the outside called out to him. On getting no response,he called the police. Fire brigade team worked for about five hours to fish out Ninad’s body. Police had earlier recovered his cell phone and clothes from near the well. They have handed over his body to his family after postmortem on Tuesday.

Extended working hours for I-T office

In view of the holidays of March 27 and 29,the Income Tax office would remain open on March 30 and 31 during the normal working hours. Tax payers can file their tax returns on both those days. The treasury bank of State Bank of India,Pune and Pimpri,Union Bank of Maval,Bank of Maharashtra of Velhe and Ambegaon,would also be working till 23.55 hours on March 31.
