The catchment areas of the dams supplying water to the city,have received meager rainfall in the last two days. However,on Sunday evening,the water levels in the dam stood at 9.58 TMC.
The storage at Khadakwasla,Panshet,Varasgaon and Temghar were 1.94 TMC,3.59 TMC,2.96 TMC and 1.06 TMC respectively.
On Sunday,the rainfall at all the dams together was around 30 mm.
The discharge from Khadakwasla has also been stopped. Rainfall for Pune region,however,looks probable with a low pressure developing in northwestern region of the Bay of Bengal and adjoining coasts of Orissa and West Bengal. The Indian Meteorological Department said that this low pressure had developed on Saturday evening,but by Sunday the depression had intensified.

This makes it more likely for Pune region to receive rainfall, said an officer.
However,the forecast for Pune is ocassional rains.
