The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has filed a chargesheet against four builders and three realty agents in the fake Urban Land Ceiling (ULC) scam.
Ashok Patel,Himmatlal Patel,Rajendra Lunkad and Ravindra Lukad are the four builders, while Atul Panse,Sujay Chopade and Sanjay Shinde are the three real estate agents who were charge- sheeted.
The CID had charged them under Sections 467 (forgery of valuable security,will),464 (making a false documents),472 (making or possessing counterfeit seal),474 (possessing forged valuable security,will),201 (causing disappearance of evidence, giving false information) read with section 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance with common intention) of the IPC.
The chargesheet was filed in the court of judicial magistrate first class A G Santani. The builders had,on the basis of the bogus ULC order, obtained building construction permission from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) pertaining to 6,000 square feet land in Wakad.
The case dates back to 2005 when the ULC department had registered a case with the Swargate police regarding certain instances of violation of ULC Act provisions.
The CID said the bogus ULC order no 1351-G was prepared by the architect of Vishwa Developers Khire-Bhode Associates in the name of land owner Pandit Kalate.
However, after scrutinising the documents,PMC building engineer Dhawate told Abhijieet Deshpande of Khire-Bhode Associates to bring the ULC order in the name of the latest land owner Sanjay Gatagat.
The partners of Vishwa Developers and Deshpande allegedly hired ULC agent Sanjay Shinde to prepare the bogus ULC order and paid him Rs 1.55 lakh, who in turn allegedly got it prepared from other agents Panse and Chopade.
