Manasi Chhajed swept the Mate Real District Ranking table tennis tournament,sweeping four titles,two of which she won on Monday.

In the Youth Girls final,Chhajed downed Ujwala Gaikwad 11-6,11-4,11-7,11-4 before annexing the Women’s title. In the women’s category,Chhajed accounted for Prachi Ghumatkar in the final with a score of 11-7,11-8,11-2,11-4. Chhajed had won her other two titles on Saturday and Sunday.

Chinmay Datar clinched his first crown in the tournament as he stood undefeated in the Youth Boys’ category. Datar prevailed over Adwait Brahme 11-7,19-17,11-9,11-8 in a match high on aggression. Datar soon added a second title to his kitty as he won the Men’s singles category,again besting Brahme. The latter was succcessful in pushing Datar to the brink in the first game. Datar won the tightly contested game 13-11 and then pulled away,winning the next three games by an identical 11-8 margin.

In the veteran’s category,Guru Nadgauda emerged the champion as he beat Rajan Gokhale 11-5,11-6,9-11,11-5.

The prize distribution ceremony of the event was sponsored by Bank of Maharashtra.
