Chain snatchers strike again

At least three instances of chain snatching were reported in the city on Saturday.

At least three instances of chain snatching were reported in the city on Saturday. In the first incident at S B Road,two men on a bike snatched the gold chain Pramila Khot (63) was wearing. The chain was worth Rs 45,000.

The second incident took place in Narayan Peth. Two robbers tried to snatch Shobha Walake’s chain but could only manage to get away with part of her mangalsutra. Walake,55,a resdient of Karve Nagar,has registered a case at Vishram Bag police station.

The third incident was reported in Wanowrie. The victim,Ameesha Gujrati,was walking when two youths on a motorcycle snatched two gold chains she was wearing. The chains weighed 20 gm and were worth Rs 30,000.

Another incident reportedly took place at Sahakar Nagar. However,no police complaint was registered till late on Saturday.
