Moving Therapy
Ask any dancer, and they will tell you that dance is both an expression and a celebration. Or as Anubha Doshi,a clinical psychologist and arts-based therapist will say, dance is also therapy. Doshi is organising a workshop to develop body awareness for women through dance and creative movement therapy. The workshop will use a blend of dance, role play and visual art exercises to explore body image and emotions. Comprising warm-ups,mirroring exercises, dancing with props, moving through space, trust exercises, improvisation, body rhythms and hand-gestures,the workshop is aimed at helping participants gain self-esteem and confidence while sharing ideas and stories through ones bodies. The workshop will take place at Artsphere in Kalyaninagar on November 27. For registration, contact:
