A Gang of three well-dressed burglars from Rajashthan who were committing house break-ins at the plush Magarpatta City township in Hadapsar has landed in the police net. The security staff of the township nabbed the burglars using the CCTV images and handed them over to the Hadapsar police.
During interrogation,the burglars confessed to committing seven house break-ins at the Magarpatta City since October 2008. The police have recovered 405 gm of gold worth Rs 5.95 lakh from them.
The burglars have been identified as Jagdish alias Ramaram Bhemaram Choudhary (25),Ajay Rumaram Choudhary (27) and Rajeshkumar Sansi (34).
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone IV) Jalinder Supekar said the burglars,who are actually school dropouts,dressed themselves as executives for deceiving the security staff of Magarpatta City.

Wearing well-ironed clothes,and with files and mobile phone in hands,they walked into the Magarpatta City in style. The security guards thought these men are executives of some company. The men,however,committed thefts in the locked flats of the township, Supekar said.
Manoj Sharma,the general manager (administration) of Magarpatta City,said,After every theft we checked the CCTV footage of the place. We could repeatedly find some well-dressed persons in the footage.
We got the photographs of these persons. We handed over the snaps to the police and circulated the copies to our security guards.
On June 2,the security team of Magarpatta City,comprising Sunil Dongre,Sambhaji Kharade,Dayand Aiwale and driver Ibrahim Pathan,identified the suspects and nabbed them after a thrilling chase on the Magarpatta City premises. They were later handed over to the police.
We have arrested the burglars. One more accomplice,who was surveying the township for committing thefts,is absconding, said inspector P G Mandhare.
They were staying at a lodge in Pune. After committing theft in daytime,they used to go to Mumbai for selling the stolen gold, he said.
Police sub inspector D N Survase is investigating the case. The police said one more gang of burglars is suspected to be active in the Magarpatta City.
