CAP round one: submission of online option forms from today

The submission of online option forms for first year engineering courses as part of centralised admission procedure (CAP) round one will begin from Friday at various application form receipt centres (ARC) in the state.

The submission of online option forms for first year engineering courses as part of centralised admission procedure (CAP) round one will begin from Friday at various application form receipt centres (ARC) in the state.

Director of technical education S K Mahajan has appealed to students who appeared for both MHTCET and AIEEE to submit only one application. “They must select the option of ‘want to apply under AIEEE’ mentioned in the form. If candidates submit two separate applications,both forms will be rejected,” said Mahajan.

The last date for submission of option forms is July 21,from 11 am to 5 pm. According to the notification on the directorate of education website,students must fill in the online option form,take a printout and submit the form in person,duly signed,at any of the ARC centres. Option forms submitted by post will be

rejected.

The provisional allotment of CAP round one will be displayed on July 25 at 5 pm. Students must report at the institute as per allotment in this round from July 27-30. All four rounds of CAP are scheduled to finish by September 3 and colleges are expected to reopen on September 31.

The CAP had started on June 18 with the sale of admission forms,submission of the same and confirmation of admission claims till June 29. The statewide provisional merit list was released on July 2 and the final merit list was out on July 10.

Meanwhile,the admission process for the six autonomous engineering colleges in the state has been completed and academic sessions commenced on Wednesday.
