The CA examination is held twice a year. As many as 2,764 aspirants cleared the exam out of the total of 27,556 students who appeared.
All top three rank holders of Common Proficiency Test (CPT) are from Andhra Pradesh. The total pass percentage in the exam is 27.02.
As many as 86,109 male students appeared for the exam,of which 25.44 per cent passed, while out of the 52,637 female students who appeared,29.60 per cent passed. The exams were held in 376 centres across the country.
As far as Pune students are concerned, difficulty in mathematics has affected them badly, according to Ritesh Agarwal of Agarwal Classes. The new evaluation system makes mathematics difficult. This has affected Pune students badly in CPT. Earlier, one needed to get an aggregate of 30 per cent to clear the CPT,but now they need to score a minimum of 15 marks in maths alone, said Agarwal.
