Now,owners of commercial vehicles bought on or between January 1,2009 to April 1,2009 can claim tax redemption of 50 per cent while filing the annual tax returns. Previously it was 7.5 per cent,the new amendment by the central board of direct taxes was made available to the media during the launch of upgraded Toyota Innova.
Welcoming the new amendment D.S Kulkarni of DSK Toyota said that this would have a positive impact on the volume of sales. “ This is pro-active step from the part of the government and surely it will help in the increase in the total sales volume per month,” he said.
DSK Toyota,Toyota’s first dealership in the country having its operations spread across western Maharashtra will upgrade and expand its network.
“The second dealership of DSK Toyata in Pune is coming up at Hadapsar and is expected to be operational in the third quarter this year,” said Narendra Kulkarni,CEO,DSK Toyota.
DSK Toyota now has a base of 18000 cutomers and plans to increase its work force from 370 to over 800 employees by the year 2011. “ We plan to sell 46,000 (36 per cent) volume in 2009 as against 33.5 per cent in 2008.The small car in the Indian market will be introduced in 2011 and we are conducting the market research to decide on manufacture of Camry and Prado,which are now imported as CBUs,” said Vinod Lalwani,Deputy Manager,Toyato Kirloskar Motors Pvt Ltd.
