Indian restaurant summit held

PUNE: Franchise India recently organised the ‘Indian Restaurant Summit’ at Sun N Sand Hotel in the city. The one-day summit was presented by Franchise India in association with Indian Franchise Association and BookYourTable.com. The summit held discussions on business concerns and queries like updating the latest consumer and business trends. Franchise India chairman Gaurav Marya said the summit served as a platform to retailers and consumers in Pune to acquire prospects in the FMCG industry. Sachin Marya,Group president,Franchise India Holdings also spoke on the occasion.

NetApp increases focus on Pune

PUNE: NetApp recently outlined its intention to strengthen partnership with the channel partner base in Pune. From offering “significant benefits” to existing channel partner base to furthering reach across market segments,NetApp said it will provide more tightly integrated and automated storage and data management solutions to customers. Panel highlights women’s safety

PUNE: At a panel discussion on women’s safety,Extention Information Technloogy highlighted the use of SOS — Stay Safe,a new mobile application that remotely alerts the user’s emergency contacts when necessary. The app sends a text message with the user’s location and a voice recording via email to pre-selected contacts. Senior Citizen’s Club president Cyrus Golvala,Caregivers Link Online co-founder Shikha Aleya,activist Monica Trivedi and Jasmeen Patheja,founder of Blank Noise were present.

Mahindra launches 2nd workshop

PUNE: Mahindra First Choice Services on Friday launched its second workshop at Hadapsar with the country’s first “Insta Serve” facility. The workshop covers an area of over 20,000 sqft with 16 bays and a monthly capacity of servicing 1000+ cars.

PUNE: With Income Tax Department mandating e-filing for more than Rs 5 lakh income category,Taxsmile,an “easy-to-use app designed to understand apprehensions and consciousness of tax payers and meet their needs” will prove useful. Taxsmile has its own tax preparation and filing website and is part of the eMudhra group. The app has an in-built tool to allow filers to calculate and fill e-return efficiently. After filling,the user can either use a digital signature certificate to sign and submit the return or directly submit and take a printout of Form V to be signed and sent to I-T department CPC in Bangalore,said Kalaivani Chittaranjan,MD and CEO.
