Body of boy missing since SSC results found hanging

The body of a 16-year-old boy who had been missing since the day the SSC results were announced online on June 7 was found hanging from a tree in a farm on Thursday.

The body of a 16-year-old boy who had been missing since the day the SSC results were announced online on June 7 was found hanging from a tree in a farm on Thursday. Police suspect he committed suicide after he got to know that he had secured marks that were way below his expectations in SSC.

Vishrantwadi police identified the deceased as Rushikesh Shivaji Nalawade of Kotwalwadi in Charholi area. Police said he had been missing since the morning of June 7.

Police sub inspector R D Matole of Charholi police chowky under Vishrantwadi police station said,“He had been missing since June 7 morning. We now know he had seen his SSC exam result on Internet. After that he spoke to some friends. He was not seen after that. He had passed but the marks were less than what he expected.”

His body was found hanging from a tree in a farm in Charholi area on Thursday in a decomposed state. Matole added,“When he spoke to his friends after checking his marks,he was depressed. We suspect him to have taken the extreme step because he could not score up to his expectations. We have been told he was a bright student.” Police said they will record statements of the family and others after giving them some time to come out of the grief.
