Bank launches loan centre for small businesses

The Corporation Bank opened an exclusive loan centre for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the city on Tuesday.

The Corporation Bank opened an exclusive loan centre for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the city on Tuesday. Amar Lal Daultani,executive director of the bank,formally launched the centre.

U V Kini,general manager in-charge of the Circle, C K Gopal,Deputy General Manager and Zonal Head,Pune, Fareed Ahmed,deputy general manager,HO,other executives of the bank,customers and employees of the bank were present on the occasion.

Ajay Mehta,managing director,Deepak Nitrites Ltd,and Vice President of Maratha Chamber of Commerce,was the chief guest on the occasion

Addressing the gathering,Mehta said that banks are financial partners in the assisted units and the partnership yields growth of industry and business in the country.

“In this scenario,the effort of Corporation Bank in coming forward and organising such meets could go a long way in the industrial/economic development of the country,” said Mehta.

With a view to catering to the SME segment in a big way,the bank launched exclusive SME Loan Centres in eight cities across the country.

Ajai Kumar,chairman and managing director,Corporation Bank,launched these centres recently in Delhi,Hyderabad,Bangalore,Chennai,Coimbatore,Mumbai and Vadodara.

“The new SME Loan Centres have been opened in eight cities to give fillip to the bank’s efforts to augment the flow of bank credit to the vital SME segment and would contribute to the growth of small and medium enterprises. The exclusive SME centres would facilitate effective use of hi-tech banking technology available in the bank,for speedy processing of proposals and making available bank finance at an attractive rate,” a press release said.
