Bank employee commits suicide

A suspended bank employee allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his house on Friday morning.

A suspended bank employee allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his house on Friday morning. Police have found a photocopy of a six-page suicide note written by the man in which he has blamed certain politicians.

The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Jambhulkar (42),a resident of Wanawadi. Police said they got a call on Friday about a suicide. Bajirao Mohite,senior police inspector with Wanawaadi police station said,“We have come to know that Jambhulkar was suspended from a co-operative bank where he was working for allegedly stealing a cheque and forging the signature. He also has a police case registered against him.”

Mohite added,“We have got a photocopy of his suicide note in which he has named certain politicians for being responsible for his plight. He has also alleged that he was harassed by them. We are checking the authenticity of the photocopy. After it is confirmed that the note was written by Jambhulkar,we will be looking into the content of it.”

Mohite,however,refused to divulge names of the politicians saying that it was too early to talk about it. Police said Jambhulkar was survived by his wife and two children.
