September proved to be an exceptionally good month for the Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) with the company registering highest export figures. With 1,46,847 vehicles exported of the total 3,67,815 vehicles sold last month,the figures were 10 per cent higher than September 2012.
The two-wheeler sector saw a rise of three per cent. The company made 3,23,879 vehicles as compared to 3,15,314 last September. The company had sold 1 lakh Pulsars. Commercial vehicles dipped two per cent with 43,936 vehicles sold last month.
From April to September this year,the motorcycle sales had dipped 11 per cent from 19,11,147 motorcycles in this period last year to 17,09,441. Although,sales in commercial vehicles saw a dip of two percent,the April to September figures in that sector saw arise of seven per cent with 2,31,164 vehicles being sold during this year as compared to 2,17,032 vehicles for the same period last year.
The company had registered a total dip of nine per cent in its sales figures in the above time period with 19,40,605 vehicles being sold as compared to 21,28,179 vehicles for last year in the same time period. Exports also saw a dip of five per cent with 7,63,593 vehicles being exported during the above time period as compared to 8,05,930 exports last year for the same time period.
