Bajaj Auto unveils new 100 cc Discover in city

Bajaj Auto has launched the all-new 100 cc ‘Discover DTS-Si’ bike with the ‘digital twin spark - swirl induction’ version 2.0 engine series in the city.

Bajaj Auto has launched the all-new 100 cc ‘Discover DTS-Si’ bike with the ‘digital twin spark – swirl induction’ version 2.0 engine series in the city. The bike offers a mileage of 80 km per litre under actual driving conditions,which is around 12-15 km per litre more than any other bike on Indian roads today,said a company release here.

The new model retains the tough,rugged character of the original Discover,with a host of premium design features,including an all-black presentation with attractive chrome styling elements,LED tail lamp and alloy wheels. Other features include electric start,nitrox suspension for comfort even on rough roads,full DC electrical system for an easy start and constant illumination,five-speed gear box,maintenance-free Battery with charge indicator and so on,said the release.

Vimal Sumbly,NSM (West),two-wheelers,Bajaj Auto,said,”Fuel is the single major cost of running and operating a two-wheeler. Also,with rising petrol prices,we believe this vehicle will have huge appeal and relevance for the cost-conscious customer,as using it can potentially save a significant amount of money over the years.”

Pilot production of the Discover DTS-Si,which commenced on July 17 at the company plant in Chakan,was inaugurated by R Chidambaram,principal scientific adviser,Government of India. The bike will be available for sale from July 27 at Bajaj showrooms across the country. It comes in five colors and is priced at Rs 39,995 (ex-showroom Pune).
