Baig talked of terrorist training,need for revenge,says witness

Another witness,a youth from Aurangabad,who deposed before the court said that he used to live in Beed earlier and had seen Baig working with terror suspect Zabiuddin Ansari alias Zabi alias Abu Jundal in 2006,the prime suspect in 26/11 Mumbai attack.

Another witness,a youth from Aurangabad,who deposed before the court said that he used to live in Beed earlier and had seen Baig working with terror suspect Zabiuddin Ansari alias Zabi alias Abu Jundal in 2006,the prime suspect in 26/11 Mumbai attack. A cousin of the witness reportedly fled along with Zabi after the Aurangabad RDX haul in 2006.

The witness said in 2007 he came across Baig at a religious meeting in Beed. A few months later he went to a party organised by Baig at Kaij in Beed,where youths had a discussion on Babri Masjid demolition,Gujarat riots and the need to take revenge.

The witness further said he developed good relations with Baig. So when he came to Pune in 2008 for a job,he allowed Baig to use his State Bank of Hyderabad account in Beed and ATM card. The witness said he also had a meeting with Baig in Pune.

Later,due to some reasons he lost his job in Pune. He requested Baig to look for a job. Baig called him to Udgir in December 2008. Baig started Global Internet Cafe in a rented shop in Udgir. The witness worked with Baig at the cyber cafe and also stayed with him in a rented house in Udgir.

The witness said Baig used go out of Udgir two to four times a month.

He also used to be cautious while chatting and speaking on cellphone at cyber cafe. The witness said he also went to Hyderabad with Baig and while returning by train,Baig allegedly showed him a video clip on terrorists’ training programme in Afghanistan.

Baig allegedly said,”We should also take such a training.” The witness said he shifted to Aurangabad from Beed due to his mother’s transfer in August 2010.
