ATKT: students failed in science subject can’t apply for the stream in class XI

Students who have failed in science subject in SSC will not be eligible for class XI science stream under the ATKT facility,said Sunil Magar,chairman of class XI centralised admission procedure (CAP).

The decision was taken on Sunday in a meeting called by State Education Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil.

“Students who had appeared for SSC in March 2009 and failed in one or two subjects will get admission through this facility. Repeaters who had attempted in March 2009 are not eligible. As far as science stream is concerned,a student who has failed in science will not be eligible for admission in science stream,” said Magar.

A meeting of the members of CAP committee will be held on Monday,after which the admission process and schedule will be finalised.
