A three-day agricultural expo will be held from August 25 at Bangalore,which will see large participation from overseas companies.
The Netherlands is the partner country of this event. Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda will inaugurate the show,which will have some 350 stalls apart from open to sky display of farm equipment from various companies.
Forge Motors from Pune will launch a new range of tractors and Jain Irrigation systems will also showcase a range of modern agriculture,production practices.
The expo will showcase a range of agri-equipment,farm mechanisation solutions,pre and post-harvest management machines and inputs,value addition in food processing plants from countries like Canada,USA,Spain,Russia,Turkey,Holland,France,Germany,Israel,China,Indonesia,Italy,Taiwan will be on display.
Foreign companies view India as a potential market,since interest in farm mechanisation and on-site value addition have escalated in this country of late, said an organiser.
Through this show,we are trying to bridge the gap between farmers and suppliers of farm machinery and equipment. Farm solutions in countries like Holland,Turkey,Italy,Germany,China and Israel are more user-friendly. Imports of such equipment and machinery into India are on the rise, he said.
