Over 100 members of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Kumar Vishwas arrived at Ralegan Siddhi where Anna Hazare is fasting for the passage of Lokpal Bill.

Vishwas was accompanied by leaders like Sanjay Singh,Gopal Rai,Anjali Damania,Vijay Pandhare,Preeti Sharma Menon and others. Party leader Arvind Kejriwal had dropped out at the last moment.

The team however was not allowed to share Hazare’s dias. Rai said he would join Hazare’s fast from Friday. Vishwas declared that the party had always held Hazare as their guide. “If Anna asks we would immediately dissolve the party and get back with him to activism,” he said.

He appealed to Hazare to give up his fast as it was detrimental to his health. “We will take up the fight for Anna. Anna is a saint,so he has trust on the politicians but I don’t have any,” he said. “There are agents put by people in power all around Anna. They are in the guise as reporters,as panelist in television shows,as commentators. The villagers of Ralegan Siddhi should see that they are not allowed close to Anna,” he said.

He said Kejriwal would come soon to meet Hazare. Asked about the delay in meeting Hazare,Rai pointed to the election scene in Delhi. Hazare meanwhile held closed-door meeting with AAP leaders. Apparently, they discussed the various issues related to the draft JanLokpal Bill to be tabled and the future course of action.
