About 41 students of a school in Yerawada missed their Class XII examination paper as they relied on a exam schedule published by a private computer coaching centre along with an advertisement. Geography paper was scheduled to take place between 11 to 2 pm but the schedule published by the private had faulty written 3 to 6 pm.

These students reached the examination centre at 3 pm, about an hour after the examination was over.

According to unconfirmed reports, a group of students from a school in Beed district also missed their exams due to such confusion created by a schedule published by a private institute.

State Education Board said the students themselves were to blame for such confusion and academic loss.

“We have told the students and schools several times that they should rely only on schedule released by the state examination board and no other. The schedule is available with every school and college and it can be also accessed on our website,”said Pushpalata Pawar, secretary, Pune Divisional Education Board.
