Police said the fire at the parking lot of Dharma Apartment seemed to be an act of mischief

Four two wheelers parked at an apartment parking in Pimprigaon were reportedly burnt down in an incidence of arson on Monday morning. Police have registered an offence against an unidentified person.

Police said four vehicles,including three moped and one motorbike,were burnt in the fire that engulfed the parking lot of the Dharma Apartment near Navmaharashtra Vidyalya.

“We found a name Rushi scribbled on a wall blackened by the smoke. Prima facie it seems a work of mischief,” said Mohan Vidhate,senior police inspector,Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The bikes were owned by the residents Sudam Kalkhaire,Prashant Kurle and Koshor Sadavarte. “We called up the fire brigade. But by the time they reached the bikes were burnt,” said Rajesh Kurle,an eyewitness.
