Three incidents of chain snatching were reported in the city between Friday night and Saturday evening.

Three incidents of chain snatching were reported in the city between Friday night and Saturday evening.

In the first incident,two people on a motorbike snatched the gold chain of Tushar Vinayak Ranware (25) of Vadgaon Budruk. The gold chain was worth Rs 30,000. According to Kothrud police,the incident took place at 10.20 pm on Friday when Ranware was on his way home. At a secluded spot,two suspects who came from behind him told him to stop and started asking him why he wasn’t riding properly. When Ranware stopped,one of them took out the key of his bike and threw it away. The other man snatched the chain and pushed him and the duo fled from the spot.

In another incident,52-year-old Chhaya Laddha of Fatimanagar in Wanawadi was robbed of her gold chain worth Rs 60 lakh at Gangadham by two suspects who came on a bike from behind her at 4.45 pm on Saturday when she was standing near a parking lot. Marketyard police are probing the case.

In the third incident that took place on Saturday evening at 7.30 pm,30-year-old Gayatri Anil Mane of Udyognagar was robbed of her gold chain by two bikers near Dutt Mandir in Chinchwad.
