20-yr-old held for stealing motorcycles

The anti-dacoity cell of Pune Police’s crime branch has arrested a 20-year-old thief for stealing bikes from various parts of the city using duplicate keys. Police have recovered four bikes worth more than 1 lakh from him.

According to the police,the accused has been identified as Sandeep Dadu Shinde alias Doma,a resident of Mayur Colony in Kothrud. Shinde was nabbed late on Friday from Spicer College area by a police team who was patrolling the area. A police officer said,“Shinde has over 20 cases of house break-ins and vehicle thefts against him and has been involved in such crimes since he was minor. He was in jail for a similar crime but was released few months ago. He has cases at Kothrud,Sangvi,Vishrambag and Samarth police stations.”
