Alleging that her brother had been murdered by his wife in connivance with her paramour,a former superintendent of the Cama and Albless Hospital in south Mumbai wants the case to be handed over to either the CBI or the state CID.

Addressing a press conference at the Press Club,Dr Shobhana Rajput alleged that her brother,Uday Singh Rajput’s (40) death was a murder, and not a suicide as portrayed. The incident had taken place in Nanded on April 5,2009.

“He was killed by his wife and her paramour for money.

His insurance money was later claimed. The police had registered an accidental death report (ADR) in the case, but registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the IPC in March this year on the basis of a court order,” Rajput said.
