Sadhana, who lives with her adopted daughter on the ground floor of a two-storey bungalow in Santacruz, had earlier alleged that builder Yusuf Lakdawala, who was at the time staying on the second floor of the bungalow, was trying to evict her so that he could redevelop the land.
Veteran actress Sadhana, along with BJP leader Shaina NC met Atulchandra Kulkarni, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) on Tuesday evening, urging the police to help the yesteryear star with the problem that she was facing with her landlord. Sadhana, who lives with her adopted daughter on the ground floor of a two-storey bungalow in Santacruz, had earlier alleged that builder Yusuf Lakdawala, who was at the time staying on the second floor of the bungalow, was trying to evict her so that he could redevelop the land.

Late last year, the property changed ownership, and the current owner has now undertaken some repair work on the second floor, which has allegedly been causing trouble for Sadhana. “We have come because of our apprehensions. We have asked the police to intervene in the situation and protect Sadhanaji because as a senior citizen in the city, she should not face such harassment. It should be the prerogative of the police to help the senior citizens in the city,” said Shaina NC.
When contacted, Kulkarni confirmed that he met Sadhana and Shaina, and added that he had assured them of necessary action .
Sources added that Kulkarni spoke to police officers concerned, asking them to look into the matter and take whatever action could be taken, and also advised Sadhana to take up the matter with the Brihanmumbai Muncipal Corporation.
