Uddhav, Pawar to attend Oppn meet in Patna

Both leaders will be attending the opposition leaders' meeting which is convened by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray on Friday visited Patna in Bihar to attend the Opposition leaders’ meeting convened by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

“All opposition leaders are meeting Patna on Friday. Uddhav ji will also be there, along with Sonia ji, Rahul ji, Pawar ji, Nitish Kumar ji. All these leaders are stalwarts and we will abide by whatever decision they take and will work sincerely to secure victory,” Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant said.

Nitish Kumar has convened the meeting to forge unity among Opposition parties and chalk out a joint strategy to take on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

According to the party functionary, Uddhav will leave for Patna on Friday at 8 am in a private jet and will meet Nitish Kumar at his residence around 10 am before attending the 11 am meeting. He will also address a joint press conference at 5 pm before returning to Mumbai.

Last month, Nitish Kumar had met Uddhav Thackeray at his Mumbai residence. “All like-minded parties are coming together. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has taken a lead in this regard,” Raut had said.
