Two arrested for Chembur senior citizen’s murder

The Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Monday arrested two persons from Darbhanga in Bihar for allegedly murdering a 90-year-old man and injuring his wife in their Chembur residence last Wednesday.

The Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Monday arrested two persons from Darbhanga in Bihar for allegedly murdering a 90-year-old man and injuring his wife in their Chembur residence last Wednesday.

“The accused,Ujala and Ishtiaq,hail from Govandi,” said a Crime Branch officer.

According to the police,on September 19,three men posing as refirgerator mechanics entered the house of K Parasuram in Chembur Gaothan.

The accused allegedly smothered Rajaramya till she fell unconscious and attacked and tied up Parshuram before fleeing with eight tolas of gold jewellery and other valuables worth Rs1.7 lakh.
