Bipasha Basu talks about her newly launched accessory line and making style accessible to everyone.
As a style-conscious teen and then an upcoming model,Bipasha Basu remembers saving up to buy trendy accessories and clothes. A self-confessed fitness,fashion and food aficionado,Basu says she has always wanted to get involved in an endeavour that helped her share her style ideas and jumped at the chance to collaborate with The Label Corp,the parent company of The Trunk Label. The idea of an accessories label appealed to her because she understands the importance of accessorising. A fun neckpiece or trendy shoes can totally make an outfit, she says.
Affordability is a key factor for Basu. Today,everyone is very aware and well put together. But the kind of fashion statement you make is dependent on your budget. Hence,everything on the website is very fashionable,yet easy on the pocket, she says.
While Basu may not be involved with the actual designing of each item,shes very particular about the curatorial aspect,about choosing the pieces,giving creative inputs and picking themes for each season. With her latest fitness DVD releasing next month,she has plans of launching a prêt clothesline,and maybe dabbling in the restaurant business.
