There are few who can be described as legends in Bollywood, but Kishore Kumar cannot be referred to as anything else. Such was his charisma, that he continues to charm audiences young and old even today. Jhumroo,a musical comedy which will premiere on April 7 at the Kingdom of Dreams in Gurgaon near Delhi will pay tribute to the melody king. Packed with 19 Bollywood retro songs,it is a celebration of the spirit of Kumar.
The musical will take the audience through the story of a lovable young boy Bhola, played by Gaurav Ghera, with a dream in his heart-to become a great singing star and to express his love for Meena, played by Shweta Gulati. The trouble, however,is that, though Bhola idolises Kumar,he cant sing to save his life. Each time Meena is in front of him,he cant think of what to say. Through the comedy we see Bhola struggling to fulfill both his dreams with interesting twists that take him all the way to the finals of a singing reality show.
