Three more arrested in Andheri abduction and extortion case
The incident had taken place on June 30, when an accused who came in two autorickshaws allegedly abducted the 27-year-old Andheri resident by posing as cops
Manjulkar is an Aurangabad resident who was wanted in a prior case by DN Nagar police station.
THE MUMBAI crime branch arrested three more persons in connection with the incident of abduction and extortion of an Andheri resident that took place last month.
The police had arrested the main accused Deepak Jadhav on Monday. The police are also questioning a police constable in connection with the case.
An officer said that the three accused have been identified as Dilip Manjulkar, Sachin Malhotra and one Rustom. Manjulkar is an Aurangabad resident who was wanted in a prior case by DN Nagar police station and was involved in the extortion. Malhotra hails from another state while Rustom was the auto driver involved in abducting the victim.
An officer said, ” We are questioning a police constable in connection with the case.”
