Teen falls to death from third floor of college building

A 16-year-old HSC student of NM College fell to his death from the third floor of his college building in Juhu on Tuesday.

A 16-year-old HSC student of NM College fell to his death from the third floor of his college building in Juhu on Tuesday.

The student was taken to Nanavati Hospital,Vile Parle,but succumbed to injuries. The Juhu police have registered a a case of accidental death and a probe is on. The police said the student had apparently fallen by accident. They will probe the incident and make enquiries with friends of the deceased if he had attempted to commit suicide or someone pushed him down.

Senior inspector Arun Bhagt said some college students who were on the third floor when the incident took place went home after class so the police were unable to find what exactly happened.

The students and security personnel told the police that they heard a loud sound from near the parking area close to the building and rushed to the spot. They found the victim lying in a pool of blood and informed the college management. The deceased was a resident of Lokhandwala in Andheri (west) and was a Class XII student at the college. The college authorities informed the victim’s family about the incident,the police said.
