Speeding car hits couple,woman dies

A woman was killed and her husband injured when a speeding car knocked them down at the Moshi chowk on the Pune-Nashik Road around 11 pm Friday. Police have identified the deceased as Pooja Mahaling Raghu (22),a resident of Moshi. Pooja’s husband,Mahaling Nagnath Raghu (27),lodged a case at the MIDC Bhosri police station.

Police arrested the driver of the speeding car, Ayaz Rehman Chowdhary (28) of Masulkar Colony,Pimpri,on charges of negligent driving. Police said that Pooja and Mahaling worked as vegetable vendors in Moshi.
