Shiv Sena Dussehra rally updates: Lok Sabha member Shrikant Shinde objected to Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray “dragging” the name of his one-and-a-half year old son during his Dussehra rally speech a day ago, and asked whether targeting a child suited his Hindutva. During his speech, Thackeray had attacked CM Shinde as he referred to his son (Shrikant) as a brat and said his grandson Rudransh has an eye on the corporator’s post.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said during a rally at BKC’s MMRDA grounds that the Shiv Sena does not belong to Uddhav Thackeray or himself, but to the thoughts of Bal Thackeray. He said that true ‘gaddari’ (betrayal) happened in 2019, when then Sena put photos of Bal Thackeray and PM Narendra Modi side by side on banners and people voted thinking it will be a coalition. At the historic Shivaji Park in Mumbai’s Dadar, former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, referring to an alleged offer of Rs 50 crore to MLAs to switch sides, said: “This year’s Ravan is different. Ravan used to have 10 heads. But this Ravan has 50.”

Ahead of the conclusion of the nine-day Navratri festival, the Mumbai Traffic Police issued an order, laying down traffic restrictions from 3 pm till midnight on Wednesday and Thursday, anticipating large processions for the immersion of Devi idols in the city. As per the restrictions, 22 roads will be closed for vehicular traffic, 18 roads will have one way traffic movement and 45 roads will have parking restrictions in Mumbai.
