A huge banner in Mumbai’s central business district of Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) announcing that the next mayor will be from the Shiv Sena has ruffled big brother BJP, which is leaving no stone unturned to wrest the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) mayoral post from its political rival Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena (UBT).

The banner with Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s smiling face, wishing everyone ahead of Diwali, is the handiwork of a local civic ward leader.
