Senior advocate Anil Singh appointed ASG of India

Following the end of his previous term, he did not seek an extension and had resumed his private practice

SENIOR ADVOCATE Anil Singh has been appointed to the post of the Additional Solicitor General of India, the top-most lawyer representing the Union government in the Bombay High Court and courts in Maharashtra and Goa. This is the fourth time he has been appointed.

Previously, Singh had held the post for nine years between 2014 and 2023.

Following the end of his previous term, he did not seek an extension and had resumed his private practice. Singh has handled cases, including matters of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA), including the Antilia terror scare case.
