Sanskar Bharti activist appointed CBFC member

Chandrakant Gharote has spearheaded the Rangoli campaigns of Sanskar Bharti and is also a national secretary of the organisation.

Chandrakant Gharote, activist from Sanskar Bharti, a cultural outfit affiliated to RSS, has been selected by the Union Information an Broadcasting Ministry to be a member of the Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC).

Gharote is a close associate of Kanchan Gadkari, president of the Nagpur unit of Sanskar Bharti, and wife of Union minister Nitin Gadkari.

Gharote has spearheaded the Rangoli campaigns of Sanskar Bharti and is also a national secretary of the organisation.

Asked about his experience in cinema, Gharote told The Indian Express, “I have not participated in any way in the making of a film but I have seen making of films closely due to my association with noted Marathi film director Raj Datt and actors Ramesh and Seema Dev.”

Asked who recommended his name for the position, Gharote said, “I don’t know who recommended my name.”
