Sandhya Singh murder: Police look for youths who worked near her house

Mumbai Police Crime Branch investigating the alleged murder of Navi Mumbai resident Sandhya Singh,sister of musicians Jatin-Lalit and yesteryear actresses Sulakshana and Vijeta Pandit

Mumbai Police Crime Branch investigating the alleged murder of Navi Mumbai resident Sandhya Singh,sister of musicians Jatin-Lalit and yesteryear actresses Sulakshana and Vijeta Pandit,has zeroed in on some youths working near her house who quit after her disappearance on December 13 last year. Her remains were found near Palm Beach Road in January.

One of the last persons to see Sandhya on the day she disappeared recently told police she was in the company of a teenager.

“Eight-ten boys working in shops near her house have left in the eight months since her disappearance. We are trying to trace these boys,” said DCP (crime) Satyanarayan Chaudhary. Police are obtaining details of the boys from their former employers.

“We believe the accused were acquainted with Sandhya and knew she became friendly with people easily. Due to this,we have a lot of suspects and the accused seem to have used this,” said a crime branch officer part of the investigation.
