RR Patil continues to fight cancer at Lilavati

In December, the 57-year-old politician underwent angiography at Bombay Hospital after he suffered a cardiac arrest.

NCP leader and former home minister of state R R Patil continues to remain under treatment for oral cancer at suburban Lilavati Hospital for over two months now. Recently, the politician underwent an onco-surgery to treat the cancer that has allegedly spread to other parts of his body from his mouth.

The hospital spokesperson confirmed, “He (Patil) is still undergoing treatment in our hospital.” The hospital administration had recently said that Patil was also undergoing chemotherapy to kill the cancerous cells. Earlier, he was admitted to city-based Breach Candy Hospital from where he was shifted to Lilavati Hospital.
