Political hoardings removed

Following the announcement of Lok Sabha elections and the implementation of the code of conduct,1170 political banners,boards and hoardings were removed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation across the city.

Following the announcement of Lok Sabha elections and the implementation of the code of conduct,1170 political banners,boards and hoardings were removed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) across the city. During the model code of conduct,dispay of political hoardings is prohibited. Many political banners/boards were removed from Goregaon (157),Tardeo (148) and Byculla (143). Meanwhile,the civic administration has also removed 2201 encroachments from water pipelines and government/civic lands following the Mumbai High Court order to clear the hutments.
